Marrying a German national

• I am a German-American (naturalized American) who wishes to marry a German woman and reside in Germany. Having given up my German citizenship in order to enter the US military in 1970, how much difficulty will this present to me?

• no problem

  Once you're married you shall get a temporary resident permit for 1 or 2 years which will be renewed as long as both of you are living in GER. After 5 years (I think) you will get a permanent permit.
  I don't know if you can apply for german citizenship again.
