Farrier work in Portugal

• I am an Australian Blacksmith/Farrier and will be moving to Portugal in 2010.
  
  Does anyone know of the work possibilities in Portugal ie are there a lot of horses and are there enough farriers to service their feet?
  
  I know this is a unique posting any help/advice appreciated. : ))

  I will be very open to you.
  General idea is that there arent so many horses that could justify a full time farrier, or in other words...for sure the existing horses have already people that take care of them and maybe there isn´t to many space for new comers....
  
  But if you really want to check it.
  Maybe the best region is the Ribatejo region and Lisbon area , because there for sure are the locations where the number of horses are higher.
  But please check it more and make some contacts.
