It's not about size, it's about attitude, and how Zurichians believe they were living in a truly international metropolis. Which isn't true at all.
Given the size there's something going on, but the people aren't as outgoing as elsewhere. I don't know about the people in Reading, but Zurichians are not interested in anything new.
